Arrow of Light

We are so proud of Jordan for earning his arrow of light. He has successfully completed cub scouts and now moves on to the 11 year old boy scouts. Scouts is such a incredible program. I am always amazed and how much these boys learn- from basic survival skills to working within their community. I am grateful to all the leaders that take the time and make the effort to help these boys progress. Jordan has worked very hard to achieve the different awards, patches, belt loops, and pins. He's becoming quite the young man and we are excited to see all his accomplishments.

My garden is blooming

It has been so exciting to see the beautiful flowers growing in my garden and around the house. The smell is wonderful and I've had the pleasure to bring in some of the gorgeous flowers to place all over my home. It really is a breath of fresh air and so fun to see the progress!

Sometimes you just GOT to have fun!

My 3 year old going on 17!

Cleaning house in all honesty isn't really fun... so sometimes you have to spice it up a bit and make it interesting. Lately we've been playing all kinds of music: old fashioned rock n roll, alternative, steel drums and even hip hop -while we clean. You should see Aidan doing "the worm" when he's supposed to be cleaning the living room! So here are some pictures of the boys using their air guitars while unloading the dishwasher. Hey if you rock out while cleaning it gets done a whole lot faster!!! Who would of thought my 3 year old would get so into it!!! I guess older brothers can be a BIG influence!! By the way these pictures are not posed! I just grabbed my camera quick and this is what they were doing!

Panning for GOLD

Jordan having so much fun!

Jordan and Brandon went to scout camp on Friday. They had such a good time. The camp has various stations with different activities for the boys to do and pass off such as :archery, panning for gold, building catapults, learning about nature, BB guns, fusing rope , etc etc... Its a wonderful opportunity for the boys to get out of their everyday routine and do something different and fun all while learning. I am so grateful to all the leaders for the time and effort they put forth to teach my boys valuable lessons.

2nd Chance Prom

Brandon and I were so excited to go to 2nd Chance Prom. Brandon never went to his Prom. I went to 2 but would have loved to go with Brandon. Since we didn't even meet until the summer AFTER I graduated high school we obviously didn't go to prom together -though we have gone dancing plenty of times- from church dances, wedding receptions to clubs but we have always wanted to go back to prom. So we saw a flier at the Lehi Legacy Center and we jumped on it. It was a fundraiser for the American Legacy Academy and was going to be held on June 5th at the Apollo dance hall in American fork from 7:30-11:30pm. They had a live band -- which was incredible, Dj, refreshments and giveaways. Brandon was the first name drawn! He won a $50 gift certificate to a day spa! We had our picture taken of course and I can't wait to receive it in the mail. It was a professional picture with a really nice set up. I really don't think I have smiled this much since probably our wedding day-- we were sincerely and absolutely happy even giddy. It was EXACTLY what we needed. To dance, to dress up, to flirt to pay so much attention to each other with out the distraction of 3 children running circles around us or the weight of responsibility!!! I haven't seen Brandon that happy in a long time!!! It was a truly romantic date! It made us realize that we really need to go out more often -- we do date a lot -- but I mean a dress up, look good for each other date- with effort!!! It was such a fun release and we will be doing it again!
