I have a magnet that I have kept on my fridge over the years with the meaning of my name. Well its getting ratty and old so its time to let it go. However, I do want to preserve what it says:

Its my BIRTHDAY!

I just got home- had an AWESOME birthday:breakfast with the kids, tennis with my dad, hair done, lunch at the Hilton, rode bikes around mission bay, back to the parents for ice cream cake, then off to the Padre Game and they WON!!!! Such a great day! Thank you for ALL the birthday wishes!!! 35 and loving it! You are as old as you feel and I feel like I am 25 and full of energy! Its going to be a great new year!

Sea Life Aquarium

We have been very blessed to do so many fun activities this summer. As you may know my boys love legos and legoland but this time we spent some time at the Sea Life Aquarium which has been added to the Legoland park. The kids were fascinated by the different sea creatures, everything from a variety of fish, coral, star fish, sharks and of course underwater lego statues and displays. It was an educational and fun outing for all of us.

The Zoo

We had the most awesome time at the San Diego Zoo today!!! Bus Tour, skyfari, sea lion show, children's zoo, splash animals art show and an incredible acrobatic show that Noah got to be a part of! Not only that but we listened to a live Steel drum band while the boys had fun hula hooping!! You should of seen Noah it was ADORABLE! A perfect summer day-it was so beautiful, warm, sunny with a slight breeze... IT WAS AN Awesome day!!!!

Opportunity Night- San Diego

I love going to work with Brandon especially to Opportunity nights. Its wonderful to see him present and reach out to families here in San Diego. His whole goal is to put money back into their budgets. Help them get properly protected, become debt free and financially independent. I am so glad that he is a part of Primerica and so involved with this crusade. I am very proud of what he does and it amazes me that he spends so much of his time training and helping people for free. He is very devoted to his work and has such a good heart.

Priesthood

My dear son Jordan was ordained to the Aaronic priesthood today and one of his duties will include passing the sacrament in church which is such an honor. It was beautiful and he looked so handsome in his suit! Such a great Sunday!

Scout Camp

Aidan was very surprised that they were holding a week long scout camp for his age group. This years theme was "Every Day is EARTH DAY" which is why he is wearing a green shirt. Most of the items they were working on in the camp he had already passed off because we completed it before our move, but he didn't care he just wanted to have fun and he did! There were over 350 kids at the camp and I found it so funny that even though I have tried to be an anti-gun mom most of his life he won 2nd place in the BB Gun shooting competition!!! I had to laugh. He obviously has great aim! During the camp, they completed 9 different achievements for their "Bear", 6 different electives and 9 belt loops. Had I known that most of it he had already completed I probably would have pushed for him to get bumped up to the next group. Oh well...the most important part was that he had fun!

Milanesas

Noah's birthday fell on a Sunday this year so we had a party Saturday and just had some family time together on his actual birthday. That evening Grandmama and Pampie came over to share dinner together and give the boys a cooking lesson. Milanesas were on the menu (which are so GOOD!) and it was about time the boys learned how to make them. It was fun for everyone and such a delicious dinner!
