The Last Day of School
Its hard to believe that the school year is over. We went from anxiously attending a new school to building wonderful relationships with teachers, students, and the staff. Noah and Aidan have grown and matured so much this year that they almost seem like different children to me and I guess in many ways they are. I am so very proud of who they are becoming and to be honest I am relieved that they had such an enjoyable year despite the groans of having to do homework. They are very ready for summer vacation and a much needed break filled with fun before they move on to 1st and 5th grade.

One Year
This weekend marks one year that we have been in San Diego. I still can't believe we are here. I catch myself at times just staring at the ocean, admiring the green lush landscaping, feeling a gentle breeze on my face as the sun beams down on me, listening to what sound like a zoo of birds in the morning and then it hits me.... I am home! This year has been filled with extremely hard work, learning experiences, growth -emotionally, spiritually and physically, as well as fun. At times it went by slowly and then all of a sudden I am here - a whole year has gone by. Sometimes it all feels like a dream, as if our years in Utah were a different life or didn't even really exist or happen. Its just so natural to be in San Diego on "auto pilot" where ever we drive. Passing familiar places filled with a million memories. A collection of my childhood, teen years and where Brandon and I met and began our family. It is simply "home" for me. I am still not certain what the future will bring as Brandon is determined to excel in his career with Primerica but we are together and that is all that matters. So we said good bye to our apartment in Tierrasanta just yesterday and we are now at my parents for the summer with HOPES of renting a house in the fall before school begins. It has been an exhausting week of packing, cleaning, sorting and moving and we still have quite a bit to do but we are all moved into Bonita and in an odd way we did what we planned to do-- only stay in the apartment for one year and then be in a house and here we are. It didn't go exactly as planned but here we are. So cheers to an exciting sun filled summer with great times and thousands of happy photos to come!
