Aidan got his first kiss by a Sea Lion!

We went to the famous San Diego Zoo and Aidan was determined to get selected as the volunteer in the Sea lion show. Jordan was picked last year and enjoyed it so Aidan really wanted to do it this time.So how were we going to help him get selected when the stadium was filled with dozens of kids who also wanted to get picked?? Leave it to Brandon to figure that out! When the time came Brandon lifted Aidan high into the air -we all jumped up and down pointing at Aidan and sure enough...if there is a will there is a way ... and he was picked! He was nervous, excited, and thrilled we were all there to watch! He had such a good time and smelled of fish the rest of the day!

On Vacation!

So I am on vacation and it is so great!!!! I will have to update my blog as soon as I get back. All I have to say for now is that I absolutely love La Jolla Shores. I could really go there everyday. Body boarding was so much fun, the water was the perfect temp, the waves nice and smooth-- easy and fun (we are not pro surfers here!) the sun beaming down on you with a gentle breeze-- laying out, hearing the waves crashing.... the sound of seagulls in the distance.... the smell of coconut suntan lotion... the return of my curly california hair - thick with spiral curls and it smells of salt water. The dream of someday wearing a bikini again like I used to BEFORE kids. So many memories!! It was just a perfect outing and I hope to go a few more times before I return to Utah. I just absolutely loved it - it felt like home!

A night to remember

On Saturday July 11th, Carla and David invited us to see and hear the Phil Harmonic perform at The Hollywood bowl. It was a tribute to Henry Mancini who wrote/composed the background music to popular films such as the pink panther. It was such a great night. Sean and Kellie were also invited and joined us. The Hollywood bowl is absolutely beautiful, the acoustics amazing, and the atmosphere breathtaking. To be underneath the stars on a warm summer night listening to wonderful music with great company ....sigh... it was magical. Not only was it magical but there was a spectacular firework show to end the performance! Brandon and I are so glad that we got to spend time with my brothers and their special ladies. Thanks for a great time!
