The quest for great health
I've been thinking a lot lately about my health. I'm constantly trying to improve. I would like to be the best version of myself as possible. That doesn't only mean looking good, but feeling ALIVE, healthy, strong, vibrant and powerful. Everybody is different so obviously we are all on different levels when it comes to fitness and eating -- just thought I would throw that out there- that being said I've made some great progress lately. I did my own version of a triathalon yesterday 11 miles on the bike, 25 mins. walking at a 5.0 incline and then swam for about 30-40 mins. It was incredible. I feel like my body actually said "thank you". Now there are lots of you out there that would say "oh that's nothing" however for me it was incredible. I'm still under year from my surgery and it amazes me that I have come this far especially when I felt that I was at my lowest point physically last year. Today I also biked a little over 11 miles , in better time I might add and then went walking tonight. It feels so good. Its not just moving that is so great but I have been drinking soy milk everyday for at least a year , I try to balance every meal and am now adding "evaporated cane juice" into my vocabulary, along with organic flax seeds etc etc. There is a bigger picture though and that is finding harmony spiritually and emotionally. I'm reading this great book titled : The cost of winning: coming in first across the wrong finish line-- I'm 100 pages in within two days (which is alot considering my kids and what I do all day!) and I'm hooked. Health is life. I want great health more than anything. Emotional , physical ... all categories -- Balance brings great peace and that is my current quest.

Amen to that! I too feel that health is everything! I have started eating better after having Lillian, because I am tired of feeling like crud! I love all the pictures from S.D. We enjoyed our little vaca, although it was not relaxing, it was good to see everyone!
Amen to that! I'm having a hard time w/it all...eating healthy...exercising. I WANT to and I KNOW from experience I'll feel so much better if/when I do. I just can't seem to get myself motivated and STAY motivated. Help me!
