Victory
"Fear of failure is fear of success. Success is built from the backbone of failure. It is impossible to conquer a fear
by going out of your way to avoid it. The only way to conquer fear is to find it, confront it and let it pass through
you. The same is true of failure. Dodging failure to become successful is like trying to win a triathlon by avoiding
swimming. Failure is a prerequisite for success. Success can only be achieved by letting the lessons of failure
pass through you. Being "afraid to fail" is the one thing that should really scare you."
The more I leap out of my comfort zone, take risks and face my fears the more I find that I am truly living and not
letting obstacles or challenges stand in my way of experiencing what life has to offer. Doing things afraid, in my
opinion, is true courage. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to face my anxieties and concerns and
push through the emotions the hold me back especially from things that would add joy or excitement to my life.
The only word that comes to mind along with a smile is "victory" any time I overcome the setbacks and exceed
my own expectations. I find a joy and satisfaction that is priceless! I have had so many victorious moments this
year and though some trials and challenges were painful I am so glad for my progress and growth. I would have
missed out greatly on some fun and unique experiences.
