The gift of giving

One must never underestimate the gift of giving it is such a wonderful and uplifting experience. Whether you are on the receiving end or the one giving it is truly beautiful. To feel love for someone maybe you have never even met- is incredible. I am specifically talking about the Sub 4 Santa program here in Lehi. Linda Turner the coordinator is a sweetheart and her love and compassion for others is inspiring. Out of love she spends the entire holiday season organizing this charity. Finding families in need, finding donors and matching them up just in time for Christmas. Its amazing! A couple of years ago we were on the receiving end and it was the most magical and memorable Christmas we have had, and now 2 years in a row we have donated to the program, giving back to help those in need - families just like ours. It is also such a good lesson for the boys to count their blessings, see that they live in abundance and that the reason for the season is Christ and what better way to follow His example than to love and give to others. Despite our situation or the economic crisis there is always room in our hearts for love and compassion for someone who is struggling a bit more than ourselves and one has the opportunity to shed a little light and hope to someone in need. We all receive help or assistance in one way or another so why not embrace this circle or cycle of love.
